Testing in CAS, SSL, Mahara, Horde environment.

Could anyone convey some experience with using jmeter to test in an
environment with CAS.  Also, the environment is SSL, so we've attempted
utilizing jmeter's http proxy server using the https spoofing option.  In
the end, the load test will need to be generating approximately 8,000
concurrent users.
