This is getting too hard to make work; it's dicey to correctly delegate all of the FileSystem correctly. I'm closing this for now and will pursue with scala folks to see if this is really an issue with scalac 2.13. https://gitter.im/scala/scala?at=5e08c58b6ff7ae03fc68ead2
