RSS->NewRSSPortlet: RSS feed with imbedded html tags... [Our Ref:CPT13DE3]

I'm using:
Tomcat 5.5.7
Jetspeed 1.6 dist

Class: org.apache.jetspeed.portal.portlets.NewRSSPortlet

I created a new portlet that tries to get the front page news of
TheServerSide.com using their RSS feed which works fine however the
portlet view doesn't show parsed HTML if found in RSS feed.
For instance TheServerSide.com puts hyperlinks at the bottom of each
news bullet.

Does org.apache.jetspeed.portal.portlets.NewRSSPortlet class have a
capability to allow the client browser to correctly parse the HTML
tags in RSS feed?
If so, what might I be missing?
And if not, could anyone suggest a way to get around this?
