valid-group?

Hello apache documentations group!

I've just read the manual and I'm boggled.
The following URL http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/core.html#require
shows 5 valid syntaxes but I miss the sixth one 'valid-group' why is it
that this option is excluded?

Kind regards

  David J Andersson

Yes, you said that already ;-)

Surely if you're a member of a valid group, that implies that you're a
valid user?

Dunno, perhaps the reverse is not the case.

Anyways, the answer to your question, and all "why isn't this feature
implemented" questions like it, is that nobody thought it was a good
enough idea to code it up. If you do feel that it is, then feel free to
submit a patch implementing it.

Can you describe a scenario in which this would be useful?

What would be the semantics? All user, belonging to all groups in
AuthGroupFile?

Such a thing is not implemented (and would be fairly slow).
