how to build a multi-module archetype with maven2?

Hi guys,

  I'm trying to make a multi-module archetype with maven2, after read the
archetype document, I still don't know how to do it. because the value of
<packaging> tag in main pom.xml must be "pom", it won't make a jar and be
installed. can anyone help me on this?
