Tomcat 5.5.7 - Windows service not starting when set to automatic

I'm running Tomcat 5.5.7 on a Windows XP sp1 and I can't seem to get the 
Tomcat service to startup automactically when the machine boots up.  I do 
have the service startup type set to automatic.

Has anyone encountered this problem?   If so, how did you get the service 
to start up automatically?
