Help reqd with SOAP/XML RPC request sampler

  Any information on the below mentioned issue.

  In the JMeter user manual it is mentioned that the SOAP/XML RPC request sampler can be used to send xml -rpc over HTTP.
  I would like to know whether this sampler can send xml over HTTPS because i receive i am receiving anjava.net.SocketException: Default SSL context init failed error mesage when i am using this sampler with a https url
