   Sort order is actually not reported in the file metadata at the moment. So this is as implemented. We have a ticket to add this information but it is not merged.
   
   This sort order is used though which you could determine if you wrote enough data for two files. Check those files metadata and you would see an exclusive range for your sort column in each new file.
