Currently, the default configuration in xasecure-audit.xml has /var/log/xasecure/audit/<component> as the staging directory for audit logs.

This would require administrators to create /var/log/xasecure/audit directory and set appropriate permissions for the Hadoop processes (hdfs, hive, hbase, ..) to create files and directories.

This manual setup of audit directory can be avoided by using /var/log/<component> directory for staging - as this directory would already be created by the component for its own logging.
