[jira] Commented: (PDFBOX-689) Documentation of dependencies is incorrect

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-689?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12880687#action_12880687 ]

Jukka Zitting commented on PDFBOX-689:
--------------------------------------

The Maven dependencies report was a bit troublesome for our svn-based publishing mechanism, as the report is slightly different for each build of the site (internal HTML element ids change), causing excessive changes being reported in svn diffs and commit notification mails.

I solved that issue by restoring a custom dependencies page, now with some more explanation of the dependency structure and the purpose of each library. See http://pdfbox.apache.org/dependencies.html

> Taken from a discussion on the Users mailing list ...
> http://pdfbox.apache.org/dependencies.html says that there are no dependencies at all.
> Based on the IKVM build,
> PDFBox depends on:
> * Apache FontBox (a related project, possibly seen as a subproject of PDFBox).
> * Apache JempBox(a related project, possibly seen as a subproject of PDFBox).
> * Lucene
> * BCProv
> * BCMail
> * JUnit
> * Apache Commons Logging.
> Unless there's a good reason to do otherwise, I believe we should update the dependencies page with this list & download links. If no one objects, I'll plan to do so in the next couple days.
