I've started looking at Groovy and find it so cool! I see 2 immediate
uses: unit tests and configuration.

Give me a few more hours and I'll commit a rewrite of one of the Janus
sandbox unit test along with the maven build to run it. 

I am also looking into using the GroovyTestSuite to run the groovy tests
from an IDE. The only issue I have so far is that the groovy syntax is
not understood by IntelliJ (of course) so I had to set the file type to
JavaScript, but I loose the refactoring abilities.

That's really cool - I wanted do some stuff with groovy myself on the
testing side as well as the JNDI side.  Perhaps Phil will be interested in
this.  We might want to consider doing something with JNDI and groovy.  BTW
check out my blog comment here about James and groovy:
