Inconsistent documentation

This page uses archetype.xml file as example:

https://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-creating-archetypes.html

These pages describe archetype-metadata.xml as specification:

https://maven.apache.org/archetype/maven-archetype-plugin/specification/archetype-metadata.html

https://maven.apache.org/archetype/archetype-models/archetype-descriptor/archetype-descriptor.html

The first one is causing confusion because it induces user start trying
archetypes with <sources> tags instead <fileSets>

Am I wrong about this? If no, who can correct this?Regards,
Markenson

you're right: the mini guide explains Archetype 1.x, which had its descriptor
as archetype.xml
But Archetype is now Archetype 2, with archetype-metadata.xml descriptor

If you can create a MNGSITE issue and attach a patch for
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/maven/site/trunk/content/apt/guides/mini/guide-creating-archetypes.apt , I'll review and apply it
