Making a release
Hi,
Other than the rename, is anything holding us up from making a release?
I took a quick look and everything compiles, test pass, LICENSE and NOTICE looks fine (although should be in base directory in repo IMO) , rat report looks reasonable (although some json test files are missing headers). Certainly no major issues that I can see.
Do we have a JIRA with a list of tasks or features that need to be completed and bugs fixed before we can make a release?
Thanks,
Justin

Interesting, we need to add file.encoding=UTF-8 system property, where
do we add it? code - specifying the charset when creating a
reader/parser? surefire? jenkins?
Think surefire would work and let the default methods be tested

I can log but then I can create anything new - but can force a build

Just checked I can set up a Jenkins jobs for you and given we already have a pom.xml it's reasonably straight forward. I'l set it that up in the next day or so.
However I don't believe I have permission to add anyone else to Jenkins. here's the process:

Re: Making a release
Posted by Hendrik Dev <he...@gmail.com>.
so then we need a incubator distribution area (guess we need an infra
jira for this?)
Other thing when we might get into release direction is CI.
Currently we have no Apache CI setup (using travis via github, but
thats a inoffical temp solution only).
So i propose to setup CI for johnzon. Wdyt?
I can file jiras if desired.
Thanks

Then the question is: what’s the point?
If it’s not an Apache release, then you cannot promote it to any of the non-Johnzon developers. Thus, it’s not really a good “tool” to try and get people to be more involved with this project and get them using it and try to grow the community which should certainly be something to be concerned about right now.
See:

Seriously, it takes just a few seconds to add it to a dist area and make it a real release. I cannot see why you wouldn’t do it.
