Excerpt of my historic data sheet (11000 rows), sort bug

Hi
I cannot see why a sorting of some number or text fields appears to be not
working, pls see attachment: the row for year 1978 (stored as number) remains
the last and is not sorted into its logical place some rows above.

The same happens when I reformate the columns to numbers.

This behavior I saw first when I merged data from 2 different ods into 1, using
a plain text editor for data staging, in order NOT to copy the formate of the
source into the target ods. Before that (while working within the same ods
only), it seems to have worked so far.

Neither the forums nor this support here led me to any clue ...

Thanks in advance
/Jan, from Sweden

--- Comment #4 from Marcus <ma...@apache.org> ---
The difference is the apostroph (see yourself, put the cursor in cell H139 and
H168 and compare in the input line).

This says that Calc should treat the content as text and not as number. So,
just delete the aprostroph, re-sort the cells and the result should be what you
want.

PS:
Please note that this is no support platform or helpdesk. I'm pretty sure that
many people could help you in the forums [1] when providing a sample file like
you have done now.

Clipped Example ods. Pls compare row 137 and 168

Maybe and most probably it is my own mistake, but I just cannot figure out
exactly what I am doing wrong. Maybe Yoy find the difference between the right
(137) and the wrong row (168)

TIA
/Jan

A screenshot is not enough to reproduce.
Thanks to attach a document.
