Slider needs to improve diagnostics and debuggability for better application deployment and management experience.
*Development time :*
* Slider Local : Local testing/debugging of package. Many times package and specially start/stop scripts may have issues which is hard to debug without deploying to a hadoop cluster. It will be better if those issues can be detected in a local box given that local box has enough horsepower to run the application.

*Deployment time :*
* Slider CLI should return status of startup of every component of the application. Many times application components are not started due to various reasons - Java_HOME not set , no available resources etc.
* ATS Integration
