[jira] [Created] (UIMA-3897) Remove UIMA-AS 40 sec shutdown delay

Jerry Cwiklik created UIMA-3897:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Remove UIMA-AS 40 sec shutdown delay
                 Key: UIMA-3897
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-3897
             Project: UIMA
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Async Scaleout
    Affects Versions: 2.4.2AS
            Reporter: Jerry Cwiklik
            Assignee: Jerry Cwiklik
             Fix For: 2.6.0AS

There is a delay of 40 seconds in the code that executes when UIMA-AS error handler determines that the JVM should exit due to reaching max AE errors. This delay seems wrong and should be taken out. The decision has already been made to terminate, so why wait. Remove the delay. Code in question is in BaseAnalysisEngine.handleAction()
