Socket Error --> No RemoteDelivery
Hopefully help is out there!
Here’s the situation: I can receive, but can’t send to addresses outside my mail server – I’m getting an SMTP Timeout error & write errors
The whole situation is very odd since I can telnet to the SMTP ports manually on the same mail-servers that James is trying to reach. Hopefully this is a 'simple' config issue.

My Configuration:
• Running behind a Linksys Router - Ports opened for DNS, SMTP, POP3, HTTP
• Windows 2K
• Bind DNS Authoritative for my domain global-minds.com
• Outgoing DNS appears to be working as I get a round-robin set of servers for xxx.com
• Incoming DNS appears to be working as I get e-mail from external sources
• Local mail works fine

What happens if you:
(a) connect directly without the Linksys?
(b) disable all local anti-virus software?
Norton AV, for example, is known to foul things up. They install in-line in
the TCP/IP stack, and connections time out while the stream is being
checked.
