Eclipse & facelet support

Guys,

One of the eclipse contributors looking at facelets support for WTP  
(and cosidering to ingrate it in v.201 of WTP) has asked a few  
quesions on the topic.
Could someone with a good understanding of the inner workings of  
facelets have a quick look & post a reply?
The concerned "bug" is this one:
