Using Resource Loaders for non-templates

Hi -

 I have some .xml files that I would like to load using Velocity's
resource loaders.

 I have the resource loaders set up nicely to look in the right places
for my .vm templates, and I would like to look in those same places for
these .xml files.

 My question is, I can load the .xml file using Velocity.getTemplate(),
but then how do I access the data so that I can feed it to my XML
parser?
