Input XML bigger than java virtual machine memory. Is it possible?

Hi,

I would like to know if there's a way to don't load the whole input XML file
into the Java Virtual Machine when running FOP.
Maybe releasing memory at some points, or keeping tree structure to disk...
don't know.
This way I don't have to increase Java Virtual Machine.

Thank you.
