Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: MPECLIPSE-64
Summary: Add ability to specify eclipse.dependency in property files
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Major

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: maven-eclipse-plugin

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Jason Madden

    Created: Wed, 12 Jan 2005 4:16 PM
    Updated: Wed, 12 Jan 2005 4:17 PM

Description:
It would be nice if the "eclipse.dependency" property could be specified in property files in addition to in the project.xml. This would allow some developers to have certain dependencies reference eclipse projects that not all developers have, by including the appropriate entries in their local build.properties.
