[jira] Created: (QPID-1902) Keystore error when starting the broker
using qpid-server.bat
Keystore error when starting the broker using qpid-server.bat
-------------------------------------------------------------
Key: QPID-1902
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-1902
Project: Qpid
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Java Broker
Affects Versions: 0.5
Environment: Windows XP
Reporter: Peter Lubbers
Fix For: 0.5
I downloaded the latest release 0.5 Java broker and followed the steps in Getting Started (Set several env. variables and run qpid-server.bat) to start the broker.
However, I received the following error message:
______________________________________________________________________
Error initialising message broker: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Cannot find JMX management SSL keystore file C:\apache-qpid-java-0.5\qpid-0.5\etc\qpid.keystore
Check broker configuration, or see create-example-ssl-stores scriptin the bin/ directory if you need to generate an example store.
______________________________________________________________________
I then navigated to the bin directory and ran create-example-ssl-stores.bat, but I still could not start the broker (same error)
Only after copying qpid.keystore and qpid.truststore files to the ../etc directory was I able to start the broker.
If these steps are correct, the Getting Started instructions should be updated to include running the create-example-ssl-stores script (the first time)
Additonally, it would help to point out that you have to run this script from the /etc directory, or, alternatively, update the script to copy the store files to the etc directory.
