On travis many builds fail with timeouts because the JVM is running nearly out of memory. See discussion on the list: http://markmail.org/thread/ftggei6c5yumytlr

The tests do not tear down the repository completely because a ScheduledExecutorService still holds AsyncIndexUpdate jobs with a reference to the NodeStore.
