Eclipse

Hello,

I want to use JMeter for testing some Servelets, but I have to enhance
JMeter so that it sends some xml data to the Servelets. In these xml data is
a username and some password data that i want to change in every test loop.
I have to test 70 accounts in every test cycle.
I'am not a Java Expert and this is my first time that I use Eclipse. So I
have downloaded the nigthly version from the 2002-08-05 an imported the
src_1 soucefiles in eclipse. I added all the .jar's form the /lib to the
Java Build Path in Eclipse and copyed them in the workspace too, because
there was an File exception. Now I have no compiling failure, but wen I run
the NewDriver.java in eclipse I get the following Exception:

java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
	at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)
	at
sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39
)
	at
sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl
.java:25)
	at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:324)
	at org.apache.jmeter.NewDriver.main(NewDriver.java:185)
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
	at java.io.Reader.<init>(Reader.java:61)
	at java.io.InputStreamReader.<init>(InputStreamReader.java:80)
	at java.util.Properties.load(Properties.java:189)
	at
org.apache.jmeter.util.JMeterUtils.getProperties(JMeterUtils.java:134)
	at org.apache.jmeter.JMeter.initializeProperties(JMeter.java:194)
	at org.apache.jmeter.JMeter.start(JMeter.java:139)
	... 5 more

Has anyone an idea? Or can someone send me an Export form his Ecplise
Projekt files?

I can not use cvs, because the firewall in our company inhibit the access to
the 2401 Port.

Thanks

Jochen Stiepel

Re: Eclipse

Posted by Mike Stover <ms...@apache.org>.
To run in Eclipse I had to add the /bin/ApacheJMeter.jar file to the run classpath, and I had to
change the working directory to /bin.
