i'd be tempted to go with 1), but i like to live on the edge ;-) the
cvs repository is just a filesytem, after all... i suppose 2) would be
cleaner though. i guess i could go either way.

1 is very bad, it would alter the history.
I would go with 2, but I'm not sure it's an "import" but regular
cvs add ( import is used to create new repositories AFAIK ).
