XML file as an input in HttpRequest Sampler

Hi guys,

I am new to JMeter. I would just like to know if it can use xml file for
the request. My input for my web test plan would be coming from an xml
file. How is this possible?

Abbey

Hi

You should put the MIME type the server expects.
Without any details on what type of application you are testing, i.e. is
it a normal web application or is it a web service, it is very hard to
give any advice.
text/xml is a fairly common mime type to use for xml files, I think.

What do you mean by "use xml file for the request" ?

If you want to use POST to upload a file, then you can use any type of
file; just add the appropriate Mime type to the request.

Otherwise, you'll need to provide a bit more explanation of what you
are trying to do.
