HTML 5 platform

I submitted this ticket a while back:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-2062

For rapid development, I find browsers (chrome, ie10, safari, firefox) are becoming good environments for testing applications.
The workflow I'd like to use is test on browser then deploy to a physical device for testing platform features.

Any thoughts on adding html5 as a platform?

I think Ripple already does a good job at providing the core funtionality for testing.

A "platform" may make sense only for Cordova plugin. They can provide provide mocks
(or a fully working version) that will work with ripple/browser.
