I guess the honest question is... what's the story with 4096mbps.....?
Not sure if a typical out of box server can actually push 4Gbit/s of outbound
data in aggregate.. :P

You were using dozens of rysnc connections, thereby preventing other
mirrors from accessing our server. So you are now banned from connecting
by rsync.

Other than that, the problem was that the bandwidth available to your
apache mirror was not sufficient.

Although we appreciate your contribution of a mirror, perhaps you could
better support apache in some other way:

Joshua.

The NH users probably won't have a problem. But when you get on the
mirror list and you get 10 or 15 cable modem buggers downloading the
latest release all at once your line's gonna sh*t the bed. :)

It's just not fast enough is all, no comment on the your quality or
intentions which are both honorable and gracious.

Peter,

OK fine, I did not realize this was an issue. Users here in NH can download
quick and with no problems. But if that's how it is, I'll kill the mirror
and you won't have to worry about it.

I will still use apache on that server, promote apache as much as possible,
just won't mirror it I guess.

  17KB/sec? That's around 130Kb/sec.

I average 250Kb/sec with spikes to 2Mb/sec. You will get pounded is what's
up. :)
