[jira] [Created] (COUCHDB-2017) Plugins meet Erlang Releases

Jan Lehnardt created COUCHDB-2017:
-------------------------------------

             Summary: Plugins meet Erlang Releases
                 Key: COUCHDB-2017
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-2017
             Project: CouchDB
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Plugins
            Reporter: Jan Lehnardt

In the near future, CouchDB’s distribution will be based around Erlang releases and zero downtime upgrades. Plugins will have to play well with that world.
