Http new end-point - which is suitable?

Hi,

I'm using the <http:consumer> endpoint & an old http provider endpoint.

I get an exception because my exchange is wrapped twice by the soapWriter
class, hence i convert the isSoap boolean to false (at run time via the
eclipce debugger) & manage to recieve an answer from the provider.

My questions are:

1. What is the actual difference between those 2 new endpoints
(<http:consumer> vs <http:soap-consumer>)? does the soap-consumer support
soap & not REST?

2.Do i need to keep a match between the consumer & the provider endpoints
kind?
e.g if i use new type consumer, do i need to use new type consumer?

Thanks in advance.
Liav.
