I needed to make a client that wants to register custom privileges work, so in revision 1360985 I changed the {{PrivilegeRegistry.registerDefinition()}} method to simply add the specified new definition to the definition map kept in memory. The TODOs about proper validation, access control and persistence of changes still stand.
