How good is Tomcat? Anyone have any data?

I've got this question that I've been meaning to try out and curious if anyone else here has the data already.  I want to know which of the various servlet (with or without JSP support) runners with support for Java2 have the best web performance out there.  Specifically which one serves pages the fastest?  Which one can deal with the highest load?  Does anyone have anything that documents the performance of the various options?  Has anyone written a class/script (whatever) to load the various servlet engines and try this out.

If no one has this data I'm going to collect it myself.  I'd love to avoid the work, but I'm ready to do it if that is what it takes to find out the answers.  I would love to use Tomcat on a project I've got going, but I will need to test it out before it is acceptable to me.
