Strange characters in rendered html

Hi all, 

Maybe this is a silly question, but I'm seeing this
"&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;" and "<!--Start: javax.faces.Output-->" in my
final rendered html text. I'm trying to get the page size down, how can
I disable this?
