dump + svndumpfilter --drop-empty-revs + load = error?

Hi list,
when filtering out paths to split a repo and dropping unused revisions I get
<<< Started new transaction, based on original revision 35
~ * adding path : dist/add ...svn: Relative source revision -5 is not
available in current repository
What am I doing wrong here?
I use
E:\>svnadmin --version
svnadmin, version 1.0.2 (r9423)

Nothing, you are encountering bug 1795.
"svnadmin load" is broken when reading dumpfiles with dropped revisions.

Using [mumble grumble consider-expletive-but-shy-away...barely] svndumpfilter.
