[jira] [Created] (SOLR-11857) Alias {!lucene} as {!solr} because that's what it really is

David Smiley created SOLR-11857:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Alias {!lucene} as {!solr} because that's what it really is
                 Key: SOLR-11857
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-11857
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Default Security Level. Issues are Public)
          Components: query parsers
            Reporter: David Smiley

I think it's silly to have Solr's query parser be referenced via \{!lucene} to LuceneQParser.  We can keep \{!lucene} as-such for back-compat forever but we ought to use \{!solr} and rename LuceneQParser to be SolrQParser.  And the documentation ought to forgo "standard query parser" and simply say the "Solr query parser".
