The newly introduced service registration property - {{sling.servlet.resourceSuperType}} - should be used by the {{org.apache.sling.scripting.bundle.tracker.internal.BundledScriptTracker}} to register servlets for extending resource types.

Not only that relying on this property will make script resolution faster, but it will also enable bundled resource types to extend resource types provided by previously registered servlets / scripts deployed in the resource tree.
