[Vote] 3.6.0 Cadence Release (attempt 2)
Please review and vote on this 3.6.0 Cadence Release.
Release issue: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7383
Repos ready to be released have been published to
dist/dev:https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/cordova/CB-7383
The packages were published from their corresponding git tags:
cordova-android: 3.6.0 (014327c59a)
cordova-ios: 3.6.0 (3a92b2dbf0)
cordova-blackberry: 3.6.0 (ed435bfc9e)
cordova-windows: 3.6.0 (cdb292f4a3)
cordova-wp8: 3.6.0 (64a046e830)
cordova-ubuntu: 3.6.0 (bff472e4c2)
cordova-amazon-fireos: 3.6.0 (4e94c6d198)
cordova-mobile-spec: 3.6.0 (27053f7dd8)
cordova-app-hello-world: 3.6.0 (65a2171a19)
cordova-firefoxos: 3.6.1 (865bbf30ed)
cordova-js: 3.6.3 (906b34c0a4)
cordova-cli: 3.6.0-0.2.9 (d15b85a81a)
cordova-plugman: 0.22.6 (78e6c38b4f)
cordova-lib: 0.21.9 (1edebcebf1)
I generated the packages using npm pack. These are now identical to
what is posted on npm under the rc tag.
To test:
npm install -g cordova@rc
This will grab all of the above repos from their corresponding tags.
Notable exceptions: mobile-spec and app-hello-world do not get
released on npm. Therefore they were not generated with npm pack.
Upon a successful vote I will upload the archives to dist/, publish
them to NPM, and post the corresponding blog post.
Voting guidelines:
https://github.com/apache/cordova-coho/blob/master/docs/release-voting.md
Voting will go on for a minimum of 72 hours.
I vote +1:
* Ran coho audit-license-headers over the relevant repos
* Used `license-checker` to ensure all dependencies have
Apache-compatible licenses
RE: [Vote] 3.6.0 Cadence Release (attempt 2)
Posted by "Sergey Grebnov (Akvelon)" <v-...@microsoft.com>.
#1 I see that cordova-windows and cordova-wp8 are still 3.5.0 here
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/cordova/CB-7383/
And the '[Release + 3.6.0] Test & Tag 3.6.0 for Windows Phone 7 & 8' issue is still opened. Does this mean that that cordova-wp8 package has not been created yet? Asking due to the following reasons:
* 3.6.x branch does not contain release notes updated
* additional tweak for WP8 is required to be correctly published to npm - see below.
#2 cordova-wp8 distributed to npm has 'node_modules' folder missing so fails to install (this is due to 'npm pack' specific logic which removed this folder, we should move node_modules to bin, will push a fix for this in master soon).
Sorry about this :(
Thx!
Sergey
