mod_status reports undefined symbol

           Summary: mod_status reports undefined symbol
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.43
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: mod_status
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: achowe@snert.com

I stumbled across this while developing a 3rd party module:

Syntax error on line 260 of /home/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /home/apache2/modules/mod_status.so into server:
/home/apache2/modules/mod_status.so: undefined symbol: __floatdisf

I have the following relavent conf:

LoadModule status_module modules/mod_status.so

#ExtendedStatus On

<Location /server-status>
    SetHandler server-status
#    Order deny,allow
#    Deny from all
#    Allow from .example.com
</Location>
