4.22.2 Release plan
Hi all,
As proposed on [1], I will serve as the RM for the 4.22.2 release and Suresh Anaparti will act as the co-RM, assisting with triage, reviews, testing, merge and release work.
We would like to announce the plan for our next minor LTS release 4.22.2, here is the proposed timeline for the release:
Features/Improvements/Bug-fix Code Freeze: 23 September 2026.
First Release Candidate (RC) cut: 30 September 2026.
All the open issues and PRs targeted for this release are tracked in the 4.22.2 release milestone [2] in Github.
Please ping us (@vladimirpetrov or @sureshanaparti) on your Github PRs and issues that are to be included in the 4.22.2 milestone.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Vladi, please also include PR #14383 in the release. It reverts a change
that inadvertently reduces the CPU quota of VMs using compute offerings
with CPU cap enabled once they are restarted or migrated, which may make
users feel that the performance of their VMs degraded out of nowhere.

As per some requests, I'm waiting for 2 more items to be finished and then I'll announce the 4.22.2 code freeze. Here they are

Hi all,
As proposed on [1], I will serve as the RM for the 4.22.2 release and Suresh Anaparti will act as the co-RM, assisting with triage, reviews, testing, merge and release work.
We would like to announce the plan for our next minor LTS release 4.22.2, here is the proposed timeline for the release:
Features/Improvements/Bug-fix Code Freeze: 23 September 2026.
First Release Candidate (RC) cut: 30 September 2026.
All the open issues and PRs targeted for this release are tracked in the 4.22.2 release milestone [2] in Github.
Please ping us (@vladimirpetrov or @sureshanaparti) on your Github PRs and issues that are to be included in the 4.22.2 milestone.

There are still some pending PRs that should go into 4.22.2 release so I'm extending the code freeze again. The new date is 21 October 2026, with first release candidate (RC) cut on 28 October 2026.
