Byterange support in ResourceReader broken ?

Is the support for byteranges broken in the current ResourceReader ?

The default value for the parameter "byte-ranges" is true. But my download
manager (Download Accelerator Plus) keeps telling me that "the server does
not support resume".

The support for resumes used to work just fine in 2.0.4 in the
ByteRangeResourceReader. But in 2.1.x I can't get it to work anymore....
