Response Object

can anyone tell me what the serialised form of a Response Object looks 
like?  I am trying to talk to a SOAP/Perl (under mod_perl) server with the 
Apache SOAP java libraries.  The  method call is working but the java 
client is spitting it because I'm not returning a Response Object, whatever 
that may be.
