Local deploy without internet access, how to open the vm console?

Hi,

I´m setting up a cloudstack lab without any access at all to internet, it´s all internal network. Is there any possibility to access the VMs console and not getting the "could not find x-x-x-x.realhostip.com" error?

It is possible, although requires a little bit of work.

You have two options:

1) First is the messy way. You can use your hosts file or create an
internal dns zone to mimic the setup.

2) The correct option requires you creating a wildcard cert for you domain
name (myhost.com) and installing into cloudstack. There is a global setting
that you can set to point to this. (Search for realworldip.com to find it).*

I have CS running without internet access.

Most common issues for these problems:
Make sure your hostname is set in DNS
Host name is set in /etc/hosts and tied to a non-local loopback interface
Proper CS IP address is set in /etc/cloud/management/db.properties
Your firewall access is set properly to between CS host and hypervisors

Please let me know if after trying all of the above, you still have an issue,
