XalanJ2 Alpha should be coming out around the 13th.
If you want to add SAX2 support for XalanJ1, we'll incorporate the patches.
But I'm not sure that it will be trivial.

How long do you estimate it to take before we will have a release
version of XalanJ with SAX2 support?
SAX2 support is quite important to me. Can I help to implement it?

I wrote a pair of adapters between ContentHandler and
DocumentHandler instead. Anyone interested in them?
