[jira] [Commented] (PDFBOX-5176) java.io.IOException: Page tree root must be a dictionary

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-5176?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17343022#comment-17343022 ]

Andreas Lehmkühler commented on PDFBOX-5176:
--------------------------------------------

[~mkl] The question is, should we just stop reading such dictionaries risking to skip some valid values as well or should we just skip the corrupt value itself and try to read the remaining part hoping not to make the situation even worse by running into an infinite loop/ stack overflow which happens in PDFBOX-5163
