Error in JaxpParser: Cannot find org.apache.cocoon.components.resolver.Resolver

Summary: Error in JaxpParser: Cannot find
                    org.apache.cocoon.components.resolver.Resolver
           Product: Cocoon 2
           Version: 2.0rc1
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://http://
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: core
        AssignedTo: cocoon-dev@xml.apache.org
        ReportedBy: Henric.Boehm@bw.aok.de

INFO: Beforehand I would still like to say something so that again many annoyed
answers don't come back:
I know that there is no support for other system. Maybe however, the mistake-
news can help nevertheless further.

INFO: I have tried Cocoon2 RC1 on the In-Q-My Web application servers 4.2.7. to
installed.

BAD: Seems to me with it that when initializing Cocoon the information over the
configuration-data file "file:/ /localhost/C:/In-Q-
MyAppServer4.2.7/alone\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\cocoon\root\cocoon.xcon
f" loses, although the data file participates attainable under this URL. At the
beginning, the roles will finish reading all right and then all at once the
resolver is found no longer.

INFO: Further information under: www.inqmy.com

GOOD: Incidentally, I have no problems with the same installation on the Tomcat
4 at all.

Hello Henric, do you still see this problem with the
In-Q-MyAppServer cannot find cocoon.xconf file?
There has been recent discussion about similar issues.
Is the issue fixed when you use the latest code from CVS
for 2.1-dev?

Re: new Bug 4221 is nothing to do with resolver

Hello Henric, please do not start an email type discussion
inside Bugzilla - i do not think that it is for this purpose.

Rather, I suggest that discussion about this topic be moved
to the cocoon-users list. You should start a thread there
entitled "In-Q-MyAppServer cannot find cocoon.xconf"
and summarise your problem clearly and provide logfile
extracts like the one below. Focus on the problem with not
finding cocoon.xconf - it has nothing to do with resolver.

Bugzilla is only used after the discussion phase and after it is
decided to be truly a bug with Cocoon. Bugzilla can then
record facts about the bug and help to manage the squash.

Please see xml.apache.org/cocoon2/contrib.html and faq.html
notes about how to resolve issues. You need to be absolutely
sure that it is not a problem with your own system before
adding to Bugzilla. Cocoon developers are too busy to
chase issues that are not central to Cocoon.

regards, David

new Bug 4221 is nothing to do with resolver

Posted by David Crossley <cr...@indexgeo.com.au>.
Hello Henric, i have reviewed your logfiles that you
submitted to Bugzilla. You have not interpreted your
logfiles correctly - this issue has nothing to do with
resolver. My interpretation of your error is that Cocoon
could not find your cocoon.xconf file ...

------
cocoon.log at line 139 ...
ERROR (2001-10-17) 07:57.52:468 [cocoon ] (Unknown-URI)
Unknown-thread/Cocoon: Could not configure Cocoon environment
org.apache.cocoon.ResourceNotFoundException: Resource not found
file://localhost/C:/In-Q-MyAppServer4.2.7/alone\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\cocoon\root\cocoon.xconf
------

So it seems that you have some serious configuration mistake.
I hope that that helps you.
regards, David
