Can I secure ActiveMQ Web Console feature that is included in
ServiceMix?
I'm trying out ServiceMix 4.4 and I've installed the ActiveMQ Web Console
feature. It is available at http://localhost:8181/activemqweb. Is there a
way to get some basic authentication applied to it?
Thanks.

Same problem here.
I need to configure basic authentication for users accessing ActiveMQ Web
Console in ServiceMix 4.5.1 or above.
Currently AMQ cosole is open to anyone at URL http://<host>:8181/activemqweb
How to force user/password authentication when accessing ActiveMQ Web
Console ?
Standalone version of AMQ seems to have that feature in /conf/jetty.xml

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Your suggestion should work with
ActiveMQ by itself. However, in my case, I'm running ServiceMix, and the
OSGi version of ActiveMQ Web Console is running in it.

Hi,
you can enable authentication on the ActiveMQ web console.
To do that you have to set the activemq.xml to add:
<property name="authenticate" value="true" />
ActiveMQ will look in conf/jetty-realm.properties for users/password.
