Summary: Cannot obtain client certificate with SSL / client
certificate authentication
Product: Tomcat 5
Version: 5.5.12
Platform: PC
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Connector:HTTP
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: wbarnie@checkernet.com
I am running Tomcat 5.5.12 and I suspect I must have SSL configured
incorrectly. I have been through the Tomcat documentation and do not see what
I am doing wrong. I have also worked with other developers and have not been
able to solve this. Here is my server.xml:
<Connector port="8443" maxHttpHeaderSize="8192"
maxThreads="150" minSpareThreads="25" maxSpareThreads="75"
enableLookups="true" disableUploadTimeout="true"
acceptCount="100" scheme="https" secure="true" debug="99"
clientAuth="true" sslProtocol="TLS" keystoreFile=".keystore"
keystorePass="password"
truststoreFile=".keystore" truststorePass="changeit" />
Wth clientAuth="true I cannot even get to the tomcat main page using https.
If I change clientAuth="want then of course I can get to the main page via
https. Is this a bug or am I missing?
