[jira] Commented: (XMLRPC-27) Patch to allow protocol://user:password@host.domain.tld urls to be supplied to XmlRpcClient

Danny Angus commented on XMLRPC-27:
-----------------------------------

Well it was a simple ten line addition to the code:

http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/xml-rpc-dev/200211.mbox/%3Cm3znruel7a.fsf@despot.finemaltcoding.com%3E

But no one bothered to apply it.
You don't want it but that doesn't mean no one wants it, it is easy to apply but it is also easy to work round.
I kind of resent the fact that despite the patch being completely un-controversial you should ignore it for three years and then just choose to reject it like this. It doesn't look good.
