[jira] [Commented] (WW-4428) Add support for new Java 8 LocalDate
and LocalDateTime to the JSON plugin
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WW-4428?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14239021#comment-14239021 ]
Lukasz Lenart commented on WW-4428:
-----------------------------------
This cannot be directly added to the plugin as the plan is that it will work on Java 6 (2.5) and Java 7 (3.0) - but we can try to refactor it and add support for user created handlers which can be injected.
I assume that this ticket is related to that PR https://github.com/apache/struts/pull/31

> The JSONWriter and the JSONPopulator do not handle the new LocalDate and LocalDateTime as primitive date values and will handle them through introspection which will create the wrong JSON object.
