[jira] [Commented] (CB-8478) cordova platform add android doesn't use the latest version

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-8478?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14344938#comment-14344938 ]

Herb Abrams commented on CB-8478:
---------------------------------

Additional note:

The 3.7.1 platform is added correctly if added explicitly, android@3.7.1, to a newly created project.

The issue above occurs when an existing platform is upgraded.

> If I create a new cordova 4.2.0 project (using CLI) and add the android platform (cordova platform add android), the android platform version which is used is: 3.6.4.
> I expected that version 3.7.1 is used because this is the actual version of the cordova-android module.
> $ npm view cordova-android
